Clive Owen

Ever heard of Clive Owen? Likes Clive Owen? His name might not be very popular among Indonesian movie lovers, but the film he has starred actually has a very interesting plot and story, specially to the fans of movies with the action genre. Lets say "The International" and "Shoot 'Em Up" which make a dark character of a "good guy" look perfectly match with his mysterious profile. Not to mention "King Arthur", "Derailed", “The Inside Man”, and "Sin City". What I mean is, good guys doesn't always look clean and tidy, right? Generally most of them looks just like us, a bit ignorant, slob, and potentially humorous. Clive Owen got all that. I suppose that is what makes him zooming into the British top list superstar.

His recent film release on 2009 starring together with Julia Roberts titled "Duplicity" has become his reunion with Julia Roberts after the satire-drama film "Closer" which also starred by Jude Law and Natalie Portman on 2004. In "Duplicity", Clive and Julia Julia Roberts working for the CIA and Clive Owen working for MI6 play competing undercover corporate high level top secret business spies who rival each other. The implication here is that most people trust themselves in relationships, but as spies Julia and Clive have good reason to be wary. Like most of espionage films, "Duplicity" shows multi continent travels and many plot twists and counter twists follow. I sure hope this movie has a great action plot like his previous movies.

Clive Owen was born in Coventry, England, October 3, 1964. He married Sarah-Jane Fenton and has been gifted two daughters Hannah and Eve. Clive and Sarah-Jane Fenton met when the two of them plays the role of Romeo and Juliet on The Young Vic Theatre Company, a theatre on South Banks, England.

Clive's achievements in movie business which also earned him a lot of world recognition is the Golden Globe and BAFTA award and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the role "Larry" in the movie "Closer".

It has been announced that Owen and Denzel Washington will return for the sequel to "Inside Man", which will be released in 2010 and will still working on "Sin City 2".
